Si-CAP is a powdered chlorinated drying agent and antimicrobial treatment based on a combination of specialty non-hazardous minerals and water absorbing clays. The various raw materials work synergistically to produce a multitude of functions including anti-microbial control, the breakdown of harmful waste products, moisture absorption and maintaining an acidic pH in animal and poultry environments.
These properties make Si-CAP powder ideal for use in the poultry, veterinary and animal hosing areas especially on floors where a full clean and sanitisation is not practical on a regular basis.
Si-CAP functions as an ant-microbial by the chlorinated component reacting with moisture absorbed by the powders to produce hypochlorous acid, a well-known disinfectant.
Si-CAP has been independently verified to meet the requirements of BS EN 14349:2012-Chemical disinfectants used in the veterinary area.
